Marketing Coordinator

This position is responsible for developing and coordinating strategic marketing/communications plans for the Parks & Recreation Department. Key aspects of the job include developing creative for business and customer (internal/external) centric functions such as graphic design, social media, communications, website and the like for the Parks and Recreation Department facilities, programs, events and projects.
 
Other key responsibilities include: assists in the budget development process for assigned areas, assists in the execution of programs and events, communicates and works with other City staff and departments initiatives regarding City goals and services, and provides for efficient and effective organization, communication, evaluation and reporting on goals and initiatives.  Majority of work is performed in a normal office setting with some outdoor duties.  Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, reach above, bend and stoop.
 
Position requires bachelor degree in marketing, public relations, recreation or closely related field and two (2) years of experience.  Preference may be given to applicants with knowledge, experience and skills in electronic/digital and digital art technology and media processes from social media, web content development, email, blogging and automation optimization.
 
This is an exempt position with a minimum starting annual salary of $35,568 depending on qualifications.
