Southeast Missouri Pets

Kelli grew up in Jackson, Missouri and now resides in Cape Girardeau.  Kelli graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in graphic design, mass communications and marketing. She was awarded an Addy Award, American Advertising Award in a state competition for graphic design.  Kelli’s designs were featured during the First Friday Arts Council Exhibit in 2003.  Kelli owned Threadz and Treads for 15 years, closing her business in November 2022.  She began her journey with Southeast Missouri Pets as the Volunteer Coordinator in January 2023.  Kelli is accountable for graphic design, assists with social media and holds the responsibility for over 500 volunteers which are the life blood of the shelter.   In October 2023 Kelli was promoted to Marketing and Events Director/ Volunteer Coordinator.  She has the responsibility for coordinating events, volunteer recruitment, training and coordination, intern recruitment and the marketing campaigns at the shelter.

Kelli is married to Joseph and has one daughter, Maddie.  She has a huge love for her 6 fur babies, ranging from 9 pounds all the way to 80 pounds!  Kelli and her husband Joseph are avid defenders of pets in our area, especially pit bulls.  She is never afraid to take on a new task and jump right into the next event.
