John Spear with Edge Realty

 I was born and raised in Cape Girardeau and currently reside in Cape with my wife (Kim) of 19+ years and our 6th grader Max. I am honored to carry the designation of "The Official REALTOR of SEMO Athletics"! I have always been an avid supporter of Cape Central & SEMO athletics... you've probably seen me at the tailgates and games.
I am also proud to serve as President of The Redhawks Club Board of Directors(SEMO's Booster Club). I enjoy coaching my son's youth sports teams, playing golf, cooking/grilling, and spending quality time with loved ones.

 I stay very active in the community by volunteering with various organizations; in addition to the Redhawks Club Board I do work with organizations such as The Salvation Army, The VFW, Drew Jones Memorial Golf Tournament Committee, Howard Aslinger Foundation, The Marine Corps League Toys for Tots (Happy Slapowitz's Toy Bash),  Avenue of Flags, CMS PTO,  I'm a mentor for Rust Media's "Next" project, I'm a volunteer Coordinator for the Muddy river Marathon Committee and I serve on  The United Way of Southeast Missouri's Board of Directors, as Vice President.

 There is no better feeling than that of giving back to, and making a difference in the community that means so much to me and my family.

In 2020 I decided to dive headfirst into a career in Real Estate, obtained my license, joined Edge Realty (Realty Executives Edge at that time), and haven't looked back since. I have been blessed to meet, work with and befriend so many amazing people along the way.  I am obviously passionate about helping my favorite teams and this community, but I am equally passionate about helping my clients. Whether it's making their home-ownership dreams come true for the first time or selling their former home to make a fresh start in a new home.

My slogan is "Pointing You Home", and that's exactly what I do for my clients, by guiding them through the entire process of buying or selling a home and I strive to continue that relationship for years to come.
