Description
Guest Speaker: Brian Fogle
SECOP is very proud to provide a guest speaker for this event that will be sharing his vast knowledge in the area of strategic planning: implementing an action plan. He knows the obstacles that non-profits experience each day and will discuss tools to assist in getting through the daily demands while keeping your focus on the big plan.
Brian Fogle is President at Community Foundation of the Ozarks. He is responsible to the Board of Directors to carry out the mission and action plan of the CFO. He also is responsible for the training and supervision of staff, interpretation of policies and procedures, and long-range planning. He has primary staffing responsibility for the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, the Missions-Related Investment Committee, and the Governance Committee.
Prior to joining CFO, he spent 30 years in banking in Springfield.
Brian’s hometown is Aurora, MO, where he is a graduate of Aurora High School. He has his B.B.A. and M.B.A. in banking and finance from the University of Mississippi.
Brian has been active in numerous civic and non-profit groups. He currently chairs the Good Community Committee and the Downtown Council of Champions, and is on the board of the Every Child Promise, Mercy Health Foundation, The Missouri Scholarship Foundation, and the Healthy Living Alliance. He was awarded the O Franklin Kenworthy Leadership Award in 1990, the National Community Leadership Award in 1993, and the Springfieldian Award in 2010, and received and honorary doctorate of humane letters from Drury University in December, 2011.
Brian is no stranger to the eastern part of the state as well. He has worked closely with many business professionals here is Southeast Missouri and is looking very forward to the opportunity of sharing his vast philanthropic knowledge with our community’s non-profit leaders.
His motto in life is “Often wrong, seldom in doubt”.
