Kenny Rogers Children's Center is an outpatient pediatric therapy center currently recruiting a full-time Physical Therapist to join our team-oriented group of therapists in providing physical, occupational and speech therapy to children with special needs from birth to 21. Our team of therapists, combined with our progressive treatment allows us to provide specialized services to over 400 children in Southeast Missouri at no charge to families served.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated PT’s, OT’s and SLP’s that pride themselves in providing quality pediatric therapy to the children of Southeast Missouri. Our facility has state-of-the-art equipment, and we have a prominent reputation in the community. We recently expanded by 7,000 square feet to double our treatment space and include a Clinical Gait & Motion Analysis Lab.
The Kenny Rogers Children's Center is a favorite charity of the community, and we are highlighted during our annual telethon. The therapists, kids and area entertainment are televised bringing attention to our work and the need for our services to continue.
Function: Evaluate, establish, implement & re-assess Individualized Physical Therapy programs for children.
Job Description:
- Screen and evaluate children using standardized tests, clinical observations and caregiver inquires.
- Establish & implement individualized treatment program including child’s history, strength, weaknesses, therapeutic interventions & goals.
- Reassess the child’s performance on an ongoing basis and adjust treatment program accordingly.
- Consult and educate caregivers to enhance the implementation of the treatment program.
- Participate as an active member within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation (daily, monthly & annual evaluation & discharged summary).
- Participate in on-going continuing education to further enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree and a Missouri License
- Tuition Assistance - $1,000 per year, after one year of employment
